The Stained Finger

The Stained Finger is one great reason to become a Society of Inkwell Collectors (SOIC) member. Whether you collect inkwells or sell them, whether you like to read and learn about your pieces or wish to share your own stories and pictures, The Stained Finger has something to offer you.

Collectors: Every issue of this quarterly newsletter is filled with inkwell information, news, and pictures. You can learn about different inkwell makers, read about SOIC members and their collections, ask questions and get answers from the experts. You will find inkwells that you own (or maybe wish you owned) on the "Price Sheets" and get an idea of their current values. You can buy and sell through free classified ads. Inkwell Dealers: If you sell inkwells, The Stained Finger is a perfect advertising vehicle for you. Its 400 plus readers make up the ultimate target audience. You don't have to be an SOIC member to buy advertising space, although you may find that if you sell a lot of inkwells, membership will bring you plenty of other benefits as well. Writers and Photographers!: If you have an itch to be published, an inkwell story to tell, or some great pictures to share, The Stained Finger will help make it happen. Ongoing features that members contribute to include:

• The First Inkwell: A story about how your collecting passion began
• A Special Inkwell: Although most of us don't have one favorite piece, we all have those special inkwells that hold a special place in our hearts
• The Price Sheet: Pictures of your inkwells with original cost, current value, and historical information
• Dip into History: A column about inkwell makers, and a place for your expertise to shine through
