Awards
The SOIC annually gives two awards,
the Vince McGraw Cobalt Inkwell Award (awarded since 2000), and the Helen
Grossman Collector's Award (since 2005).
Vince McGraw Cobalt
Inkwell Award
This award, given annually since
2000 in honor of SOIC founder Vince McGraw,
recognizes volunteers who have served the Society in an outstanding manner.

The award was proposed in 2000 by Jane Betrus to
the newly formed Board of Directors, who approved the proposal.
Recipients receive a certificate of recognition,
and each year, the Executive Director can at his/her discretion present
an additional memento of appreciation.
Helen Grossman Collector's Award
This award, began in
2005 in honor of SOIC member Helen Grossman, recognizes members who have
built great collections of inkwells.

Helen Grossman
Helen is one of the most prolific collectors of inkwells in the world.
She has amassed more than 2000 examples that represent every type
of style, material, manufacturer, and value range. She has generously
shared her collection with those who are interested and continues
to contribute to the body of knowledge about the hobby of inkwell
collecting. |
